Cookie Policy

Effective Date: March 27, 2026 Last Updated: March 27, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how BrewCard ("the Service"), operated by Ivan Surin ("I," "me," "my"), uses cookies and similar storage technologies when you visit brewcard.app.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which serve comparable purposes but are accessed differently by the browser.

2. How BrewCard Uses Cookies and Local Storage

2.1 Cookies Set by Third-Party Services

BrewCard itself does not set any first-party cookies. However, the following third-party service integrated into BrewCard may set cookies:

Cookie Provider Purpose Type Duration
Vercel Analytics Measures page views and user interactions to help me understand how the Service is used Analytics (non-essential) Session or persistent (set by Vercel)
Vercel Speed Insights Monitors web performance metrics (page load times, core web vitals) Analytics (non-essential) Session (set by Vercel)

For details on Vercel's cookies, see Vercel's Privacy Policy.

2.2 Local Storage

BrewCard uses your browser's local storage (not cookies, but a similar client-side storage mechanism) for the following purpose:

Key Purpose Type Duration
brewcard_email_dismissed Remembers that you dismissed the email signup prompt so it is not shown again Functional (non-essential) Persists until you clear your browser data

Local storage data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to BrewCard's servers.

3. Cookie Categories

Essential Cookies

BrewCard does not currently use any essential (strictly necessary) cookies. The Service functions without requiring any cookies to be set.

Non-Essential Cookies

The analytics cookies described in Section 2.1 are classified as non-essential. Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, these cookies require your consent before being set. BrewCard provides a cookie consent banner where you can accept or decline non-essential cookies.

4. Cookie Consent

When you first visit BrewCard, a cookie consent banner will be displayed. You can:

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site, which will trigger the consent banner again.

5. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here is how to manage cookies in common browsers:

You can also clear local storage through your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage).

Please note that disabling cookies may not affect BrewCard's core functionality, as the Service does not rely on essential cookies.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. BrewCard does not currently alter its behavior in response to DNT signals.

7. Changes to This Policy

I may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When I do, I will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
